UGC NET June 2026 Admit Card Download Checklist

Admit Card Checks

  • Open the official UGC NET/NTA portal.
  • Use the admit card link and login with the required application details.
  • Check name, photo, subject, exam date, shift, reporting time and centre address.
  • Read the printed instructions for ID proof, photograph and permitted items.
  • If anything looks wrong, use only the official help details mentioned in the notice or admit card.

UGC NET city slip only tells you the exam city; the admit card is the document you must check before exam day. Download it from the official NTA/UGC NET portal and verify every detail carefully.

Verifying Critical Details

Once downloaded, review the admit card meticulously. Check that your name, photograph, signature, and chosen subject match your original application. Mismatched data can affect your admission step at the center gate.

Most importantly, locate your exact test center address and the gate closing time. Security at NTA exams is stringent; candidates arriving even one minute after the gate closes are strictly denied entry.

Understanding the Self-Declaration Undertaking

The admit card includes a self-declaration (undertaking) section regarding health and security guidelines. You must fill in the required details (like your name and address) before reaching the center.

However, you must sign the document only in the presence of the invigilator inside the exam hall. Do not sign it at home. You should also affix your passport-size photograph and left-hand thumb impression in the designated spaces beforehand.

Required Items for Exam Day

You cannot enter the hall with just the admit card. You must carry a valid, original government-issued photo ID (such as an Aadhaar Card, PAN Card, Voter ID, or Passport).

Ensure the name on your ID perfectly matches the name printed on your admit card. Digital copies on your phone or photocopies of the ID are not legally acceptable for verification.

Handling Download Issues

If the portal is slow, try again using a stable connection and avoid repeated failed attempts in panic. Save the downloaded PDF once it opens correctly.

If your photo, subject or centre details look wrong, follow the official help instructions printed in the notice or admit card.

FAQs

Can I show a digital copy of my admit card on my phone?

No. You must bring a physical, printed copy of the admit card to the examination center to gain entry.

What should I do if my photo is blurry on the printout?

Ensure you print the document using a high-quality printer. If the file itself is blurry, contact the NTA helpdesk, and bring extra passport photos to the center as a precaution.

Can I change my allotted exam center now?

No. Once the admit card is issued, the NTA does not permit any changes to the allotted test city or center address.
