How to apply, step by step
- Check which schemes you are eligible for and note their deadlines early.
- Complete the one-time registration (OTR) carefully and accurately.
- Keep your documents ready — marksheets, ID, income certificate and bank details where required.
- Fill the form on the official portal, review it, and save your application number.
- Track your application status through the same portal.
Types of scholarships to look for
Scholarships come in several forms: merit-based (for strong marks), need-based (for lower-income families), and category or special scholarships (for particular communities, girls, or differently-abled students). Stay safe from scholarship fraud
A genuine government scholarship is free to apply for and never asks you to pay to “confirm” or “release” it.
