NEET UG 2026 Official Updates and Scam Safety

Verify Before You Trust

  • Check nta.ac.in and neet.nta.nic.in before trusting any NEET message.
  • If a WhatsApp message claims to be official, match the same notice on the NTA website.
  • Do not pay anyone promising papers, answer keys, marks change, counselling shortcut or seat help.
  • Avoid forwarding panic videos until the claim appears on an official website.
  • Keep screenshots of suspicious messages and report them through the proper cybercrime or official help channel if needed.

NEET updates spread fast on WhatsApp and social media, but students should verify every claim through NTA or the NEET official website before acting or forwarding it.

How NTA Uses WhatsApp

The NTA utilizes verified WhatsApp channels strictly for broadcasting official, general updates regarding examination schedules, admit card releases, and re-examination notices.

The agency will never use WhatsApp to request secure login credentials, OTPs, or banking details for fee refunds. If a message asks for sensitive data, it is a scam.

Spotting Fake Videos and Circulars

Fake videos and forged PDF circulars often use official-looking logos to create panic about exam status, answer keys or counselling.

Before forwarding a message, match the claim with the “Latest @ NTA” section or the NEET official website. If the same notice is not there, treat it as unverified.

Avoid Paid Shortcut Claims

A common scam is a person claiming they can provide papers, answer keys, marks correction, OMR changes or a counselling shortcut for money.

Do not share roll number, application number, OTP, Aadhaar details or payment information with such people. Official processes do not work through private agents.

What to Do If Targeted

If you are approached by someone offering fraudulent NEET services, do not engage. Block the number and take screenshots of the communication.

You should report these numbers to the national cybercrime reporting portal and notify the official NTA helpdesk so they can issue broader warnings to the student community.
