Steps to Edit Your ICAR Application

- Log in using your application number and password.
- Click on the link for ‘Correction in Application Form’.
- Carefully edit the permissible fields (e.g., category, academic details).
- Pay any additional fee if a change in category alters the application cost.

Official NTA Notice
Read the rules regarding which fields can be edited.
Candidates applying for the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) AIEEA (PG) and AICE JRF/SRF (Ph.D.) 2026 exams have a final opportunity to rectify application errors. The NTA has issued the online correction window. This is your last chance to amend academic details, category choices, or uploaded documents before admit cards are processed.
What You Can and Cannot Edit
The correction facility is limited. Check the official correction notice and portal screen to see exactly which fields are editable for your application.
Typically, fields like your primary registered mobile number, email ID, and sometimes your name cannot be altered to prevent identity fraud. Check the specific official portal guidelines to see exact editable fields.
Category Corrections and Fee Adjustments
If you mistakenly applied under the General category but actually hold a valid EWS or OBC-NCL certificate, you can update this during the window. The reverse is also true.
Be aware that changing your category might impact your application fee. If the new category has a higher fee structure, you must pay the difference online. The correction is not saved until this payment is successful.
Fixing Uploaded Documents
If your initial photograph was blurry, lacked a white background, or your signature was scanned improperly, replace them now.
Incorrect photographs are a primary reason for admit card delays. Ensure the new images strictly follow the pixel and size guidelines mentioned in the original information bulletin.
The Finality of Submission
You only get one chance to use the correction window. Once you click final submit, the form locks completely. You cannot log back in to make a second round of edits.
Review every section of the form carefully before submitting. Ask a parent or peer to double-check the spellings and numbers to catch any lingering typos.
Downloading the Revised Confirmation Page
After your corrections are submitted and any requisite fees are paid, the system will generate a new Confirmation Page.
Download and print this updated page immediately. It serves as proof that your corrections were successfully registered in the NTA database.
FAQs
Can I change my exam city preferences during the correction window?
Usually, yes. The NTA generally allows candidates to modify their exam city choices based on current availability, but verify this on the portal.
Is there a fee for making corrections?
Additional fees are usually only required if your changes affect the base application cost, such as shifting from a reserved category to the General category.
Will I get another chance if I miss this deadline?
No. Once the official correction window closes, the NTA does not entertain any further requests for edits via email or post.
