The Directorate General of Training (DGT) has published the examination results for the CITS AICET 2026. Candidates seeking admission into craft instructor training programs at NSTIs and IToTs must immediately check their scores. Following the result, the critical Round 1 choice filling window has been enabled on the candidate dashboard.
Understanding the CITS Merit System
Your admission to National Skill Training Institutes (NSTIs) and Institute of Training of Trainers (IToTs) depends entirely on your AICET score. There are no direct walk-in admissions for these premium skill instructor seats.
Check your marks carefully. The counselling algorithm will assign seats based on your rank, your category, and the specific choices you lock into the system during this window.
Executing Round 1 Choice Filling
The choice filling link is currently active in your dashboard. You must select your preferred institutes in descending order. Place your most desired NSTI at the top.
Do not select institutes located in regions you are unwilling to relocate to. If you are allotted a seat and fail to complete the provisional admission, you may lose your chance in subsequent rounds.
Following the Standard Operating Procedure (SOP)
DGT has released a detailed SOP for CITS admissions on the portal. This document is your rulebook. It details the exact process for paying counselling fees, the rules for seat allotment, and the documents required.
Download and read this SOP before locking your choices. It explains how seat transfers and mop-up rounds operate if you are unsatisfied with your initial allotment.
Document Readiness for Provisional Admission
Once the Round 1 allotment is declared, successful candidates must report to their nearest NSTI for document verification and provisional admission.
Gather your original ITI/Diploma/Degree certificates, mark sheets, category certificates (if applicable), and AICET hall ticket now. Missing documents during the short reporting window will lead to allotment admission issue.
