The TS EAMCET (now TG EAPCET) counselling process is the gateway to engineering and pharmacy admissions in Telangana. Before you can select your preferred colleges, you must complete the mandatory online registration, pay the processing fee, and book a specific slot for your physical certificate verification. Missing these initial steps will disqualify you from the entire allotment process.
Paying the Processing Fee
The very first step in the counselling process is the payment of the processing fee. This fee varies based on your category (General/OBC vs SC/ST).
You must pay this fee online using a credit card, debit card, or net banking through the official portal link. Keep the transaction reference number safe, as you will need it to proceed to the slot booking stage.
Booking Your Verification Slot
Unlike some purely online counselling systems, TS EAMCET requires candidates to physically verify their documents at designated Help Line Centers (HLCs).
You cannot walk into an HLC randomly. You must book a specific date and time slot through the portal after paying your fee. Choose an HLC that is easily accessible to you, and ensure you book early to secure your preferred timing before slots fill up.
Handling Registration Errors
While entering your registration details, verify your Aadhar number, caste certificate number, and income certificate number meticulously.
If your online payment fails but money is deducted, do not panic. Wait for the standard banking reconciliation period, or check the payment status link on the portal before attempting a second transaction.
Preparing for the HLC Visit
Once your slot is booked, your next task is gathering all necessary original documents and photocopies. Your slot booking confirmation slip will be required by security to allow you entry into the Help Line Center.
Arrive at your chosen HLC at least 30 minutes before your booked time slot to ensure a smooth verification process.
