If you are going into Class 10 or Class 12 in a UP Board school this year, your school has to register you for the 2027 board exam — and the first deadline falls on 5 August 2026. The Uttar Pradesh Madhyamik Shiksha Parishad (UPMSP) has published the full registration schedule on its exam portals, and almost every date in it lands in August and September 2026.

[11 Aug 2026, 6:50 AM IST] UPMSP has added a photograph rule to the Class 9 and Class 11 advance registration for session 2026-27, and it carries a hard date. The board’s homepage notice says that with immediate effect the online registration data and the candidate’s photograph bearing their signature must be uploaded together — if the signed photograph is not uploaded, the registration data will not be accepted either. For candidates already registered before 9 August 2026, the signed photograph must be uploaded by 20 August 2026. The notice states that any candidate’s registration without a signed photograph will be cancelled and that the school is fully responsible. The official dates
These are the dates UPMSP has published for regular (Sansthagat) students appearing in the 2027 High School and Intermediate exams. The notice on the portal is dated 25 July 2026.

Who actually does what
This is the part students most often get wrong. You do not register yourself on the UPMSP website. Your school does it for you. Your job is to make sure the school has what it needs, on time.
- You: confirm your admission in Class 10 or 12, pay the exam fee to the school, and give correct details — your name, your mother’s and father’s names, date of birth, subject choices and photograph.
- Your school: collects the fees, deposits them in the treasury, and uploads every student’s details to the board portal before the deadline.
- The board: locks the data for verification, opens a short correction window, and then finalises the list.
If your school misses the upload deadline, your name may simply not be on the board’s list for the 2027 exam. That is why the 5 August fee date matters even though it looks like an administrative step.
Which portal is which
UPMSP runs three separate registration sites, and they are easy to mix up.

All three are reached from the UPMSP home page. Only school logins work on these sites — there is no student login, so if a website asks you personally for a user ID and password to “register for UP Board 2027”, treat it as fake.
If you are a private candidate
Private candidates apply through the exampvt portal, and the schedule above is the one UPMSP has published for regular students. If you are appearing privately, ask the school or centre handling your form to show you the notice dated 25 July 2026 on that portal, and confirm your own last dates from it. Do not assume the regular-student dates apply to you without checking.
Check these details carefully
Between 21 and 31 August the data is locked and nothing can be edited, and the correction window that follows is only ten days long. After that, an error follows you onto your marksheet — and fixing a name or date of birth on a board certificate later is slow and painful.
- Spelling of your name, exactly as you want it printed on the certificate.
- Your mother’s and father’s names, matching your earlier school records.
- Date of birth, matching your Class 9 or Class 11 registration.
- Your subject list — especially if you changed a subject or an elective this year.
- Your photograph, and that it is actually yours and not swapped with a classmate’s.
Ask your class teacher for a printout of what was uploaded for you. Most schools will show it if you ask politely, and it takes two minutes to read.
What to do this week
- Make sure your Class 10 or Class 12 admission is complete at your school.
- Pay the exam fee and take a receipt. Keep it.
- Give the school any document it still needs from you.
- Note 1 to 10 September in your diary as the correction window, and check your details before it closes.
